Chapter 3
The old man leaned forward, his face lit with an intensity that belied his frail appearance. “To break the curse, you must retrieve three sacred relics scattered across different locations,” he said. “Each relic holds a piece of the spell that binds your souls to this cycle of tragedy.”
Anaya’s hands trembled as she clutched Aryan’s arm. “What kind of relics?” she asked.
The man gestured toward the book. “The first is the Heartstone, hidden in the depths of an ancient temple in the Aravalli hills. The second is the Moonlit Veil, a mystical cloth said to reside in an abandoned fortress in Rajasthan. The last is the Flame Orb, guarded by a secretive sect in the dense forests of Chhattisgarh.”
Aryan’s brow furrowed. “And how do we retrieve them? Are there… obstacles?”
The old man chuckled softly, though his expression grew grave. “Obstacles? Oh, yes. Each relic is protected by trials that test your resolve, courage, and love. You must overcome them together, or risk being consumed by the curse forever.”
Anaya and Aryan exchanged a glance. Fear lingered in their hearts, but a stronger emotion burned brighter—hope.
“We’ll do it,” Aryan said, his voice steady. “Tell us how to start.”
The old man handed them a map, its surface crisscrossed with faint lines and mysterious symbols. “This will guide you. But beware—those who cursed you will not sit idle. They will try to stop you at every turn.”
As they left the library, the night air was heavy with anticipation. Aryan turned to Anaya, his hand brushing hers. “Are you sure about this?”
Anaya nodded, her eyes fierce. “We’ve waited lifetimes for this chance. I won’t let anything keep us apart again.”
